Management

The student leadership group, in collaboration with professional learning staff, will educate students about the THS community clothing framework using available information resources (website detailing framework, instructional videos etc) and refer to the THS Clothing Framework Support Team if the educational approach is not working.

It will be up to the student community to manage their performance as measured by how often the community going outside of the framework, measured as Issues recorded as generally not wearing clothing on the list and/or not wearing appropriate clothing for an activity.

The student community will be supplied key performance indicators periodically via the in school TVs and online web-portals/email - issue summaries will be presented as a total community by stage.

Rewards

If the student community are consistently trending towards working within the framework then periodic rewards (known in advance) will be awarded to the whole community eg “free “X” from the canteen”, more mufti-days….

Issues

Issues are recorded as part of the existing attendance framework within the THS community by the professional learning facilitators (ie teachers), using a coding system as part of the comment added to the students attendance record in Sentral.

The clothing issue is recorded as a comment against a student using one of the following codes:

CNCG

Clothing Non-Compliance General- for wearing an item not on the clothing list.

CNCP

Clothing Non-Compliance Presentation - not wearing the Presentation uniform when required.

CNCA

Clothing Non-Compliance Active - not wearing the Active uniform when required.

CNCS

Clothing Non-Compliance Safe-work - not wearing the Safe-work uniform when required.

The recording of an issue is considered sensitively to ensure it does not cause a disadvantage to any one student “ie it is your fault we didn’t get the reward”.

Each issue logged will include a code as to reason why (comment) so as to determine if it is included in the scorecard.

The THS community needs to ensure it has the mechanism to support (as it already does) a student that can not work within the uniform clothing framework for reasons outside of their control.

MOnitoring

The THS Clothing Review Team will actively monitor the issues trends and if at at point they are not aligning with the THS community common values then consultative framework adjustments will be made.
